This suggestion is especially intended for dial up users who leave their computers turned on most of the time.  There is nothing wrong with leaving the machine powered on, nor is there anything wrong with turning it off every day depending on one's preference.

If you open your dial up connection and are unable to get dialed in or if you begin the process of dialing up through the email program to check mail and get connection errors...cancel the open windows and simply restart the computer.

Once the machine is restarted, try again to dial in and make the connection.  If this simple step does not work, please give us a call at 391-3945 in technical support as we have an application that allows us to monitor dial up traffic.  If you are attempting to connect and your dial up modem is at least making its way to our server, we will be able to see the progress using this application and hopefully tell you whatever errors or problems could be causing your inability to get connected.
